ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING:

Q- Where can I find parts for my ENGINE?
A- Use our Sitemap or our Complete online Catalog, there you will find a COMPLETE LINE OF ENGINES by ENGINE BRAND NAME and manufacturer with links for the same throughout our website. You will find ILLUSTRATED PARTS LISTINGS (IPLs) and ENGINE PARTS FOR SALE.

Q- I haven't used my generator in a couple years.
I still have old gas in it.
Does the gas go bad?
Could that be why it won't start?
A- Gas can go bad. Gasoline as it evaporates leaves behind a varnish type of film on the metal surfaces. If Gasoline is permitted to totally evaporate it will form a gum substance that will clogg small ports and passages inside carburetors. This same gum or varnish will cause several problems with throttle shafts sticking and chokes sticking. Fuel passage such as vents or jets will become clogged or restristed partially or totally. If your engine will start, but you have to partly apply the choke to cause the engine to run smoothly, then your main jet is partly clogged and requires replacement of the jet, cleaning of the jet, or total carburetor replacement.
